Sam Nix – IFBB Pro Men’s Physique
Division/Status: IFBB Pro Mens Physique
Height/Competition: 5ft 9in
I reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where I am a father of 3 boys who are the best gifts God has given to me. They are also my best cheerleaders and supporters. Athletics and anything outdoors that involved competing have always been my passion. I always enjoyed how lifting weights made me look but more importantly I enjoyed how I felt. No matter how bad of a day I would have, going to the gym made it better. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Norfolk State University, my M.A. in Organizational Management and Leadership from Ashford University, and I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education and Organizational Management and Leadership. I was always interested to bodybuilding but never thought about competing. Then, I was introduced to Men’s Physique bodybuilding where the athletes had more of an aesthetic look, “I was hooked”. I started training at the end of 2014 and in 2015 competed in my first show. It was wonderful! I won 1st place in the master’s class and 2nd place in the open overall class. I competed in two NPC competitions earning a 4th and two first place finishes. Then I competed in July 2016 in Pittsburgh and earned my Professional Bodybuilding status (IFBB).
